I’m Leonard Jombo, a software engineer who builds backend systems, developer tools and distributed systems. I care about how things work under the hood and I bring a security-minded eye to everything I build, honed from time spent finding vulnerabilities in production systems.
Background
I'm a software engineer with a background in cybersecurity, driven by a passion for understanding how systems work well enough to build them right. What began as curiosity about how software breaks grew into a career building software that doesn't.
My work centers on backend and systems engineering — REST APIs, distributed systems and networking tools. I've built dawida(a mobile app for digitising taita language and culture),a subnet calculator, a distributed process migration simulator and a real-time network monitoring tool and I bring the same rigor from security testing into writing code that's correct, efficient and hard to break.
Beyond code, I enjoy contributing to open-source projects, mentoring students through the Google Developer Student Club and continuously exploring new languages, systems and tools.
